Season's Greetings, err, Happy Holidays

It is now time for my holiday themes post. It's been quite a while since i last updated but i have been extremely busy. I've been working like crazy and spending a lot of money on christmas. I'm almost done i just need to finish up tonight and i'll be done for sure. I had a call into work the other night and i answered it the way im supposed to:

"season's greetings zehrs markets, elyse speaking, how can i help you?"

well the other end, a man, told me that he was offended by that and he demanded for me to say happy chanukah.... so i told him that chanukah was a greeting of the season, hence season's greetings, however i said it anyways just to get him off my back. So i switched it to Happy Holidays as sarni'a finest newspaper The Observer told me that that was prefered. So the next time you call zehrs and they don't say season's greetings its because of that man who insisted it was disrespectful to jewish people. Sorry my mistake!

im finally finished my ISU essay for english... that is the biggest weight EVER lifted off my shoulders. Other than that school has been boring and i havn't really been at all this week because i was sick and i just dind't want to go. I know not an excuse but hey, sometimes i just can't sit through M.Petit lessons that bring all the immersion kids back to grade 5, thanks M. but i'll just look in my elementary note books!

Tomorrow is a half day and we're going to Mackenzie's to exchange gifts for the secret santa.. i still don't know who has me but thats ok i'm not worried about it its probably michelle crowe seeing how she's the only one who is trying to keep it a secret. Then i work, then im probably hanging out with emar as we always do and some good times will be had! Im not too sure what my plans for christmas are yet as i don't know my work schedule! so i will fill you all in later!

thats all for now... peace out!

BIG BEEF OF THE WEEK: having someone tell you that they're greeting isn't included is season's greetings!

YOU-scan...tough concept? i hope not

so today was the longest day of my life. I worked - as usual an 8hour shift- 12:45-9:15 on uscan. It was the busiest day ever and i had some of dumbest people ever talk to me. This man came up friendly as could be and asked me if you could ring through groceries on these things i said yes of course and then this is how the rest of the conversation went:

Me* yes of course you can ring through groceries on here
Man* oh great because these lines are shorter than the ones over there
Me*yea its craz y(wondering why he's still standing beside me rather than waiting in line)
Man* ok so has one opened up yet?
Me* Well you have to wait in line for it
Man* Oh why?
Me* Because its the same as a regular cashier with line ups
Man* oh ok
**** he waits in line finally gets a uscan and stands there waving at me.... i HATE when people stand there and wave at me and say ohh miss over here pleaaaase***
Man* ok i waited in line no can i ring my groceries through
ME* Yep its all set for you
Man* for me? you can't ring them through for me?
Me* No sir this is self scan
Man* What?!
Me* Y ou know... YOU-Scan (with hand gestures to enforce this concept)
Man* oh well that's rediculous
***and he left... go figure that the huuuge giant sign above the machines with picture instructions... the fact that everyone before him did their own groceries ... and the fact that it is called UScan...****
it was beyond rediculous at the zehrs today!

Other than that nothing has really been new ... i've been working up the courage to push the little submit button on my university applications and i've been working a lot and just hanging out with friends. That's really all for now just a general question are the UScans at zehrs really that hard to use?

BIG BEEF OF THE WEEK: people making me take their girlfriends out because they're going out with other friends... sorry im not going to be just anyones friend... scratch that - i know the situation and i'd rather not get invovled
